Billy Nolas

I’ve run over 100 full and half marathons on road and trail, numerous other distances, and both the Colt Creek half and Lake Louisa half in the past. The Florida Run races are special and memorable, and they are absolutely events to participate in more than once. I plan on running both this year.

The organizers, volunteers, and even the vendors selling prior FL Run goodies are welcoming and encouraging, and if you need extra pep, they are happy to lift your spirits. Most of the runners are a fun-loving bunch and supportive of each other at the start, on the course, and at the finish. Regardless of your finish time, organizers, volunteers, and some other runners will be there to cheer you on as you cross the finish line - they’ll wait until every runner has crossed! Both the Colt Creek and Lake Louisa courses are challenging but not overwhelming trail courses. You traverse dirt paths, woods, and lots and lots of low-cut grass in state parks. How cool is that? The organizers cared about the runners and our experience - they even congratulated me on my hundredth marathon.

Whether it’s your first race or you’ve run so many that you’ve lost count, come join us at Lake Louisa in November and then return again for these terrific Florida run races!”
